The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) in Desert Gold are premium true wireless noise-cancelling earbuds designed for music, travel, commuting, workouts, calls, and everyday listening. They combine adaptive active noise cancellation, CustomTune personalized audio, Bose Immersive Audio, improved call performance, Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, Snapdragon Sound support, wireless case charging, and a customizable secure fit. The Desert Gold finish pairs a glossy dark exterior with metallic gold accents while retaining the same core acoustic and wireless platform as the other second-generation color variants.

The updated active noise-cancellation system is designed to respond smoothly to changing environments. Quiet Mode provides strong isolation for focused listening, while Aware Mode allows surrounding sound to pass through. ActiveSense Technology works within Aware Mode to help reduce sudden spikes in environmental noise so abrupt sounds are less intrusive.

CustomTune Technology automatically personalizes both sound and noise cancellation to the listener’s ears. Each time the earbuds are inserted, the system analyzes the acoustic characteristics of the ear canal and adjusts playback and ANC performance accordingly.

Bose Immersive Audio expands conventional stereo into a broader spatial presentation designed to make music, movies, and other content feel less confined to the physical position of the earbuds. Battery life reaches up to approximately 6 hours with Immersive Audio turned off and up to approximately 4 hours with Immersive Audio enabled.

Each earbud contains four microphones, creating an eight-microphone system across the pair. Bose combines the microphone array with noise-rejecting processing and background-noise suppression to help isolate the user’s voice during calls. Either one earbud or both earbuds can be used for compatible calling functions.

Bluetooth 5.3 provides wireless connectivity with a range of up to approximately 30 feet under suitable conditions. Bluetooth multipoint allows two compatible devices to remain connected simultaneously, while Snapdragon Sound and aptX Adaptive provide enhanced wireless audio capabilities on supported devices.

Battery life reaches up to approximately 6 hours per earbud charge, with the charging case providing approximately 18 additional hours of listening time under standard conditions. A 20-minute quick charge can provide up to approximately two hours of additional playback.

The charging case supports both USB-C and wireless charging, allowing it to be recharged through a cable or compatible wireless charging pad.

Three sizes of silicone eartips and three stability-band sizes can be mixed to create nine fit combinations, helping users optimize comfort, acoustic seal, and physical stability. The earbuds also carry an IPX4 water-resistance rating, helping protect them against sweat, splashes, and light rain.
