The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar in Black is a premium all-in-one home theater soundbar designed to deliver immersive TV audio, clearer dialogue, wide room-filling sound, and wireless music streaming from a single low-profile enclosure. It combines Dolby Atmos, Bose TrueSpace technology, AI Dialogue Mode, PhaseGuide technology, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, HDMI eARC, optical connectivity, and built-in Amazon Alexa.

With compatible Dolby Atmos content, the soundbar is designed to create a more three-dimensional presentation with greater height, depth, and spatial separation. Upward-firing transducers help reproduce overhead effects, while Bose processing expands the perceived soundstage beyond the physical dimensions of the cabinet.

For content that is not encoded in Dolby Atmos, Bose TrueSpace technology analyzes incoming stereo and multichannel audio and spatially processes it to create a broader, more immersive presentation. This allows television programs, movies, sports, streaming content, and conventional surround material to benefit from enhanced spatial reproduction.

AI Dialogue Mode is designed to improve speech intelligibility by automatically analyzing dialogue and surrounding effects, helping voices remain clear without requiring constant manual volume adjustments.

The soundbar also uses PhaseGuide technology to create the impression that certain sounds are coming from areas where there are no physical speakers. Combined with its front-firing and upward-firing drivers, this contributes to a wider and more enveloping listening experience.

Wireless entertainment support includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, and Spotify Connect, allowing the soundbar to function as a wireless music system even when the television is not in use.

Built-in Amazon Alexa provides compatible hands-free voice control for supported music, soundbar functions, and connected smart-home devices. The system can also work within compatible Google Assistant ecosystems through supported connected devices.

For television audio, HDMI eARC provides the primary high-bandwidth connection and supports compatible Dolby Atmos signals. An optical digital input provides an alternative connection for televisions without HDMI eARC.

The Bose app provides guided setup, source management, streaming controls, firmware updates, and sound adjustments. Bass, treble, and center-channel settings can be customized to better suit the room, content, and listening preference.

The Smart Ultra Soundbar can also serve as the centerpiece of an expandable Bose home theater system. Compatible Bose Bass Modules can add deeper low-frequency performance, while compatible Bose Surround Speakers can add dedicated rear-channel effects. Bose SimpleSync provides additional connectivity with selected compatible Bose headphones and speakers.
